Air Travel

  • Masks must be worn in the airport and during all flights.
  • The TSA is allowing one liquid hand sanitizer, up to 12 ounces per passenger, in carry-on bags. Expect additional time for your screening process if bringing sanitizer larger than the standard allowance or 3.4 ounces.
  • In-flight meals and snacks may have limited service.

Destination

Great news! The Safe Travels program requirements to enter the state of Hawaii will no longer be required starting March 26, which is our group's arrival day in Hawaii. This means you will not need to register for the Hawaii Safe Travels program, whether you are vaccinated or not. Additionally, Safe Access Oahu ended on March 5, 2022. This means you will NOT need to present a COVID-19 vaccination card or evidence of a negative test to enter restaurants or other establishments.

Please note: Those pre-extending and arriving in Oahu before March 26 will still need to adhere to the Hawaii Safe Travels program requirements. Find out more.

May I bring a guest?

Yes, you may bring one adult guest, who must be at least 21 years of age at the time of travel. Your guest is welcome at all group functions and activities.

What type of identification will I need to travel on this trip?

All travelers are required to present valid government-issued photo identification (federal, state, or local) such as a driver's license or passport. Travel with photocopies of your travel documents and identification in case the originals are lost or stolen. Leave a copy of these items at home as well.

What is included in the 2022 Schumacher & Seiler Hawaii trip?

      What is NOT included in the 2022 Schumacher & Seiler Hawaii trip?

      While it is a very inclusive program, some things that would be at your expense include: lunches, food outside of the property, beverages (including alcoholic beverages) inside and outside of the property, dinner on Rent-a-Car day, additional activities, additional spa treatments, resort laundry, and pay-per-view movies.

      What is included at the Four Seasons Oahu at Ko Olina?
      • Lei greeting and welcome beverage upon check-in
      • Twice-daily housekeeping and turndown service, with evening ice delivery
      • Exclusive bath amenities
      • Arts and crafts exhibits featuring local artists, from painters and photographers to woodworkers and jewelry makers
      • Access to resort amenities and activities, like the Naupaka Spa and Wellness Center, fitness center, tennis court, lap pool, snorkeling gear, stand up paddleboards, bodyboards, etc. Please note that some services and activities may have additional fees.

      NOT included are items such as laundry service, souvenirs, and transportation outside of the resort.

      When will we receive our travel document packet?

      Your travel documents will be mailed either to your home or business (you will be able to specify your preference during trip registration) approximately three weeks prior to the trip.

      What flight options will I have?

      All travelers for the Schumacher & Seiler Hawaii trip will travel on group flights from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). If you would like to extend your trip, either pre- or post-, please note that in the Extension Request section of your trip registration and our Air Team will reach out to you directly with alternative flight options.

      How and when will I receive my flight information?

      Your flight itinerary will be included in the trip’s mobile web app, available approximately a week prior to the trip.

      What if I'd like to deviate from the group flight arrangements?

      If you would like to deviate from the group flight arrangements, you will be able to request it during trip registration. This would include traveling before or after the group dates, purchased upgrades, and any other changes to the 2022 Schumacher & Seiler Hawaii trip. A credit card is required and a non-refundable 4% credit card processing fee will be applied to your costs.

      Once you have requested to deviate during trip registration, a Motivation Excellence representative will contact you within 2 – 3 business days. You will be given a general idea of what is possible and your costs. If you proceed with planning beyond this initial consultation, a Motivation Excellence planning fee will be charged regardless of whether or not the changes are booked. 

      For plans that include air to/from an island other than Oahu, other air changes, or non-group resort and car reservations/information, the Motivation Excellence planning fee will be based on the complexity of your requests.

      May I extend my trip?

      Yes. You will be able to make this request during trip registration. After you submit your registration, a Motivation Excellence staff member will contact you and assist with completing your personal travel request plans.

      Frequent Flyer Account / TSA Pre-Check Information

      Motivation Excellence can input your frequent flyer account details and TSA pre-check information. Please include frequent flyer numbers and Known Traveler Numbers when you register for the trip and you will be contacted by a member of the Motivation Excellence air team. 

      Will airline baggage fees be reimbursed?

      No, travelers are responsible for their own baggage fees.

      How will I get from the airport to the resort?

      Round-trip airport transfers will be provided for all travelers arriving/departing on group dates. You will be greeted in the baggage claim area by travel staff holding Schumacher & Seiler signage. They will assist you with your luggage and show you to your vehicle. If you are traveling on a non-group date, you will be responsible for arranging your own transportation to and from the airport.

      Should I rent a car?

      Our trip itinerary offers a good mixture of group events and free time. If you plan to explore all that Oahu area has to offer on your own, you will need transportation. There are multiple car rental options at the airport. If you decide to rent a car at the airport and will not use the group transportation, please let us know, so we are not looking for you at the airport. Please note that all car rentals are at your own expense.

      If you would like to rent a car for only a portion of the trip, the resort Concierge can assist.

      Will there be a mobile web app for this trip?

      Yes! About a week before the trip, you and your guest will be texted a link to the Schumacher & Seiler Hawaii mobile web app. We suggest you bookmark or save the web app to the home screen of your mobile phone / tablet. During trip registration, be sure to enter a unique email address and mobile phone number for your guest, so that he or she will enjoy full access to the web app.

      Can Motivation Excellence assist me with my special dietary and medical needs?

      Yes. You may note any special needs during online registration or by contacting Maddy Knutson at Motivation Excellence.

      What is Hawaii's time zone?

      Hawaii is in the Hawaii-Aleutian Time Zone and does not observe Daylight Saving Time. During your trip, when it is noon in New York City, it is 6 am in Hawaii.

      What will the weather be like during our trip?

      Late March is a lovely time to visit the island of Oahu. Temperatures range from an average daytime high of 83 to an average nighttime low of 68. Forecast

      What type of clothing should I pack?

      Attire at the hotel is casual. Daywear would include cool, comfortable clothes, with flip flops, shorts, and bathing suits with cover-ups being perfectly acceptable. Dressier attire is more appropriate in the evening, including collared shirts for men, sundresses or nice blouses and shorts for women. Specific attire guidelines will be included in the trip's mobile web app.

      Does the resort provide complimentary Wi-Fi?

      Yes, wireless high-speed internet access is available at no charge in all guest rooms and public areas at the resort.

      Extra legroom seat upgrades

      Plan to purchase seats online directly with the airline after you receive your flight confirmation. The availability of these seats is not guaranteed.
